AVA Big Read Quiz: Well done to our Big Read Quiz Winners! Teams representing the forms of year 7 and 8 competed in a quiz, based on the books they have been reading in tutor time.
Personal, Social, Health, and Economic (PSHE) education is part of the UK national curriculum, designed to help children stay healthy, safe, and ready for life and work in modern Britain. Covering areas like health and well-being, relationships, careers, and global awareness, PSHE is a statutory subject under the Children and Social Work Act.

Over the past few weeks, Literacy classes and Reading Ambassadors have been working on their extended writing skills by creating thoughtful “Dear Christmas Friend” letters.
On Monday, Year 4 embarked on their first school trip to central London, tying in with their History topic on the Romans. The highlight of the trip was a visit to the Secret Temple of Mithras, where the children explored ancient Roman artifacts and worked as a team to identify their purpose in Roman times.
We are excited to offer students the opportunity to participate in a GCSE History trip to Berlin, taking place in January 2026.
