Our school celebrated World Book Week with various different library and tutor time activities, as well as a Zoom Quiz hosted by the national literacy trust, which our reading ambassadors took part in. We had an exciting book swap this week, where students exchanged their favourite reads!
We are pleased to confirm this trip will be going ahead for those that have paid their initial deposits (current Years 9 and 10). We are working through sending confirmation emails. All participants and their parents/ carers will receive these by Friday 21st March.
Mevan Babakar visited Reception and Year 1 this week to talk about her re-life experience as a child refugee. Mevan was born in Iraq, but her family needed to leave when war broke out. She spoke about the countries she needed to stop in before she finally made her way to England..

This February half-term, AVA students embarked on an incredible seven-day skiing trip to Bormio, Italy—an adventure filled with skiing, fun, and unforgettable experiences. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Italian Alps, this trip was an opportunity for students to challenge themselves, bond with friends, and embrace new experiences on and off the slopes.

Every morning, Duke of Edinburgh students carefully sort through and bring a selection of lost property to The Atrium, helping to reunite misplaced items with their owners.
