Our Year 11 learners recently enjoyed the Apprenticeship and University Fair at Northampton.
Popular rapper and BBC Bitesize presenter Formz recently visited AVA and gave a live performance and talk on careers, aspirations and anti-bullying.
Monday 20th November was the United Nations ‘World Children’s Day’ and in the Primary Phase we enjoyed a thought-provoking assembly from Miss Gonzalez.

In Primary we have had lots of rainbows and silly hats in school today, it has been lovely to see all the different colours and support for such a wonderful charity even through to our catering staff who have supported us with Pudsey biscuits.
Tuesday 14th November was World Diabetes Awareness Day and this week many of us in school are wearing a blue ribbon to show our solidarity with those who have to cope with managing diabetes every day.
Exam stress can be really challenging, not only for children but for those who live with them. Research shows that having someone to talk to about their work can help students going through the exam process. Support from a parent, teacher or friend can help young people share their worries and keep things in perspective.
Winter mocks begin on Monday and this week the students have been working hard to make sure they are fully prepared for the exams.
We would welcome any parents or carers who would be willing to volunteer a small amount of their time to assist with KS3 student reading.
GCSE and BTEC certificates and Art coursework are available to collect from AVA Secondary Reception. They must be collected before Tuesday 19th December.
