Year 12 Business Students Raise Funds for Mental Health Charity

Our Year 12 BTEC Level 3 Business students recently showcased their event management skills as part of their coursework for Unit 4: Managing an Event.

As part of the project, students planned and hosted a range of fundraising activities—including sweet sales and football tournaments—all in support of the mental health charity Mind.

Mind is a national organisation that offers vital advice and support to those facing mental health challenges. Their services include helplines, peer support, and campaigning for improved mental health care—ensuring no one has to face a mental health problem alone.

Thanks to the students’ hard work and commitment, an impressive £161.44 was raised for this important cause.

This hands-on experience not only helped students build essential skills in planning, teamwork, and organisation but also played a key role in raising awareness of mental health within our school community.

Well done to everyone involved!
