Years 7, 8 & 9 Trip to MK Lightening vs Swindon Wildcats in the National Ice Hockey League
Last Friday, students from Year 7, 8, and 9 went on an after school trip to see MK Lightening vs Swindon Wildcats in the National Ice Hockey League (NIHL).
It was a huge success, with staff and students alike saying how both exciting and interesting it was to see a non-traditional sport played in a professional environment.
The first two thirds were a very close affair between the two teams; however, Lightning ran away with it in the last 15 minutes securing a 5-3 win and sending the crowd, kids, and staff into a frenzy.
Nevertheless, the students were not only a credit to themselves but fantastic ambassadors for the school, so a massive thank you to them and all the parents who made the drop off and pick-up process so easy.
Preparations are already underway for another trip this academic year, so keep an eye out if you are interested/didn't manage to get a spot on this occasion.
