Silver Duke of Edinburgh Qualifying Expedition
What an amazing few days we've had on our Silver DofE Qualifying expedition, 11th-13th July.
Thursday 11th July 12 students and 5 staff travelled to the beautiful Cotswolds countryside and were very lucky with the weather.
The students were self-sufficient for 3 days 2 nights, having to navigate their way to the campsite on the first day, they were on a circular route day 2 and on the final day they had to navigate their way to the finish point.
On each day their challenge was to meet the staff at various check points along the routes. It wasn't easy, and there were highs and lows but every day each group successfully fulfilled the DofE requirements for an expedition.
The staff were impressed with the student's resilience over the 3 days and their respect for the countryside and each other. It was a pleasure to supervise each and every one of our students on their expedition.
