Important Update on Free School Meals - Transitional Protection Ending Soon
The Government is planning to phase out Transitional Protection for Free School Meals from April 1, 2025. However, children who qualify before March 31, 2025, will have their eligibility protected until the end of their current school phase.
To ensure your child doesn’t miss out, we strongly encourage you to apply before Monday, March 31 if you haven’t already! Submit your application as soon as possible!
If you receive any of the following, your child may qualify:
Universal Credit (with annual net income of £7,400 or less) - Income Support (IS)
- Income-based Job Seeker’s Allowance (IBJSA)
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Child Tax Credit (no Working Tax Credit) with annual income under £16,190
- Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- The guaranteed element of the State Pension Credit
