Year 4’s Exciting Trip to the Temple of Mithras
On Monday, Year 4 embarked on their first school trip to central London, tying in with their History topic on the Romans. The highlight of the trip was a visit to the Secret Temple of Mithras, where the children explored ancient Roman artifacts and worked as a team to identify their purpose in Roman times.
They also learned about Mithras, the Roman God of the Sun, and the mysterious secret religion followed by some Romans. The visit included an immersive experience at the temple, complete with atmospheric sounds and lights, giving the children a glimpse of life in Roman times.
Year 4 had a fantastic day connecting their classroom learning to real-life history and were even rewarded with a small gift for their outstanding behaviour. Well done, Year 4!
