Every day on Bucks Radio, the Bucks Bear Cubs feature shares primary school children’s brilliant thoughts on life, friendship and even the universe – and recently some of our primary children took part.
As the weather gets colder, please take a moment to talk to your children about staying safe around frozen ponds, lakes and rivers.
This week our whole school took part in Remembrance assemblies, many led by Rev Lane. On Tuesday, we marked Armistice Day in school, with all children observing a minute’s silence at 11.00am. Some of our pupils joined their secondary colleagues to represent AVA at a Remembrance Service.

Last Tuesday 21st October, our Student Parliament rolled up their sleeves to sort the incredible Harvest donations collected across both our Primary and Secondary phases.

On Thursday 16th October, we are delighted to be welcoming author Paula Harrison back to our school to talk to our Year 1 and 2 children about her new book, Kitty and the Missing Pumpkins.
This week, we were thrilled to welcome Tom McLaughlin into school to talk about his new book, Alan – King of the Universe.
Our children have taken part in Race for the Kids in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and their fundraising to build a new cancer centre. From start to finish, the energy and teamwork on display were fantastic.
