Exciting Author Visits Inspire Young Minds! - Primary
Monday 11th November was a busy and exciting day as we hosted two amazing author visits!
In the morning, Years 2 and 3 welcomed illustrator Loretta Schauer, illustrator of the delightful Yetis Don't Exist. Loretta captivated the children with a reading of her book and shared her creative process for illustrating the story. The highlight? A step-by-step lesson on drawing their own yetis, uncovering some budding illustrators among us!
Later, Years 5 and 6 enjoyed a special visit from Jane Marlow and ITV’s Charlene White, co-authors of How the News Works. They provided an insightful behind-the-scenes look at the news industry, sharing their expertise and inspiring the children with stories from their careers.
Thank you for your continued support in making these inspiring author visits possible!
